Procrastination is a challenge we have all faced at one point. We humans have been surrounded with multiple tasks at a time and struggling with delaying, avoiding and procrastinating on issues that matters to us.

When we are able to accomplish our delayed task, we feel happy and satisfied. We all wanted to finish our task on time or before deadline but end up submitting our task late. One of the reasons are the distractions due to which our attention from task is deviated. Most common distractions are cell phone, social media surfing, gossip and most of the time noisy workplaces also create distractions. Through my fellowship course I came to know about a technique which I applied in performing my task. Guess what?

It worked, I was able to complete my task before the deadline.

This is the technique which is well illustrated in the picture.I used this technique to perform my task assigned by the supervisor with a deadline of Saturday 22.I was assigned to form a job description of different positions of the respective departments. The task was given at the start of the week and I delayed. I used pomodoro technique to accomplish my task.

I set the timer of 25 minutes on my phone and start working on my task. The experience was not much difficult but I got conscious and serious with my task. During performing my task there were many distractions that came along like I had to attend the call that was necessary otherwise there were other distractions but I ignored them and jot down in my journal and again continue with my work. I completed my task on time though I had to put a timer 4 to 5 times.

This technique was quite useful and I will definitely apply while performing my other chores not only my task but also during home chores. This technique helps to avoid distraction and help to manage time. Whenever you face procrastination I will recommend this technique. You will not only complete your task on time but also you will be saved from your boss’ anger.
