Just DO it.
My cousin’s wedding is near ahead and I didn’t prepare any new dresses all because of COVID’19 pandemic. The consequences and outbreak of the virus scared us and we lock ourselves in our homes and limit our outgoing activities. Thanks to this COVID’19 where I saved money from buying new clothes for Eid as well as form wedding preparation on the other hand I gain extra kgs to my weight being a couch potato.
As I mentioned above the wedding is near I have planned not buy new dresses but I will re style the dresses I have because i have wear them once and I think as this wedding is of my paternal cousin, they will going to see my dress for the first time as well, restyling them will give a more new look. The problem is to get fit in those dresses. Losing around 5 kg in next 30 days, I will be able to get in those dresses not only this it will be good change for me.
I divided this goal into small task and planned out I will be achieving the desired weight. I watched different videos on Youtube and joined a Facebook group. Through these videos and different post I came up with my diet plan as well as my workout plan.
Firstly I calculated my BMI so that I can know the required calorie intake. I decided to reduce my calorie intake as compare to my body requirement and brisk walk for 1 hour is enough at initial stage of my diet.
To track my calories intake I downloaded an app on phone. This really help not only to check my calorie intake but also to consistent because first 3 days of starting week was very hard to remain on my track. I increased my water intake from just 2–5 glasses of water in whole to 8–10 glasses. I find it difficult to wake up early for the walk , I skipped my walk twice but now I am trying to be constant in my walk routine. It was little hard to avoid icecream and dawat food as during this week there was Eid ul Azha. This eid is all about food especially BBQ. But I didnt starve myself from these yummy food I had serving of 3–4 bites to fulfil my craving.
In the end of this week I did not any change on weighing scale maybe its too early to observe the difference but this is not only helping me in my weightloss journey but I feel fresh instead of lethargic. Waking up early, it was beneficial for me in other ways as well, I saved a lot of time by completing all my chores and work in morning that I can relaxed and have time for myself to watch my remaining series on netflix. I’m able to set my routine.
This app help me out not only to track my calories but my weight graph, water intake .
My next task is to add some cardio routine along with a walk so that if Im unable to observe the change, increasing my activity level and cutting out some carbs from dinner and lunch will help me to observe a change on weighing scale. Not just making a goal but a SMART goal help me to be consistent with the plan and dividing it into small task help me to those small task. Im able to check my progress and to readjust these task according to my requirement.
